FIBARO Wireless Home Automation is an innovative system that can automate many aspects of your home, including lights, blinds, security, appliances, and more, and can all be controlled by an iPad, iPhone, iPod, or other smartphone device.
The Fibaro system offers a non-invasive installation process, which eliminates the need to run meters of cabling throughout the walls of a home. Their miniaturised modules can be installed behind light switches, roller blind switches, & more, and are compatible with every electrical system.
It is the only system available on the market capable of controlling LED lighting or fluorescent lights in electrical systems without a neutral wire.
Fibaro devices do not connect permanently to the building's infrastructure, therefore, if you wish to move a module it's not a problem to do so. Simply move the module to it's new location and thanks to the use of Z-Wave mesh networks, the module will update its location and resume cooperation with the rest of the system.
Compatibility and Z-Wave technology
The Fibaro system uses Z-Wave wireless technology to communicate between the modules and devices.
It offers full freedom of control and communication, as it is compatible with the majority of smartphones available on the market today.
Fibaro is compatible with wireless products from nearly 300 independent manufacturers, and can be used in conjunction with other devices controlled by a competitors Z-Wave systems.
It is also compatible with all IP cameras available on the market. Upon detecting an incident, the system can send a picture or video to your mobile phone.
The Intelligent System
The Fibaro system checks and monitors status’ of individual devices and, if necessary, informs you of an incident. It is the only system on the market which knows the exact position of a pulled-up roller blind or awning.
Best of all you can make backup copies of saved settings and the Fibaro system will send them to external servers as an offsite backup solution. Battery-powered components will inform you well in advance of the need to change energy source.
If you go on holiday and forget to turn the heating off, Fibaro can send you a message asking if it should do it for you.
Security
The Fibaro System can also be integrated with an existing alarm system.
Each system component may operate independently of the central unit. If the central unit is damaged and the system detects, for example, a fire, each component will decide independently whether to pull up roller blinds, open the windows, doors, activate smoke venting system, etc.
